Experiences
Research:
Extensive qualitative research experience on human rights
and good governance in general and child rights, ombudsman,
national human rights institutions, police reform, impunity
of law enforcing agencies, legal status of political party
and freedom of expression in particular with national and
international institutions e.g., Odhikar, The Daily Star,
The British Council, UNICEF, DFID-B, ARTICLE 19, Human Rights
Center at the University of Essex, DASCOH, CARE-Bangladesh
etc.
Monitoring:
Capability on monitoring of human rights violations. Also,
observed National Parliamentary Election (Dhaka, Bangladesh)
and by-elections in 1996 and Sri Lanka's National Parliamentary
Election in December 2001 as an international observer. Contributed
to the formation and functioning of 'Election Monitoring Working
Group (EMWG)' for the Parliamentary Election of 2001 facilitated
by the Asia Foundation, Bangladesh.
Advocacy
and Campaign:
Expertise on advocacy and campaign strategy on human rights
issues in media and public forums.
Training:
Extensive experience in designing and conducting human rights
training for human rights activists/defenders and journalists.
