Dear Friends,

This is to inform you that Environment and Social Development Organization ESDO, is going to organize 3 day long workshop on The Use of Advocacy Tools for Rights-Based Approaches.The workshop has been scheduled to be held from June 14-16, 2003. Registration Fee Tk.3000 for Bangladeshi and US $ 60 for foreign participant.

The workshop is designed in a way to reflect the Bangladeshi situation and how advocacy can be made effective here to reach certain goals from an NGO/ GO and Institutional perspective. Highlighting the issues of environment and development. The workshop will follow the guideline of Advocacy Institute of Washington D.C. USA

ESDO, a non-governmental and non-profit organization, works to make a difference around the country by building up mass awareness and resistance against environmental degradation, and improve the socio-economic conditions of the people. One of the ways ESDO believes this can be done is through effective advocacy. With the Country Representative of Advocacy Institute’s Bangladesh chapter, Dr. Hossain Shahriar, being ESDO’s Executive Director, and other skilled trainers being a part of ESDO, the organization has experience in conducting such workshops.

As seats are limited, we would appreciate your early response.

We have students' concession of 30% of the total training fee will be charged from students. the fee included cost of materials, light refreshments, and lunch for three days.

Only short-listed students will be contacted regarding participation in the workshop.
